By the sounds of things, the Kingsman: The Golden Circle cast is really starting to come together. Last week we reported on Pedro Pascal joining the cast as well as the brand new poster that dropped. Now we’ve got some even more exciting cast news for you!
Now it seems that Channing Tatum has signed on to the movie too after he tweeted:
I’m about to get all up in that Golden Circle. #Kingsman pic.twitter.com/LqCPJ6monO

What his role will be is unknown at the minute but we guess he needs something to fill the time while he waits for the Gambit movie to happen, huh?
And, in related news, according to The Hollywood Reporter (via Squareeyed), none other than Elton John is reportedly in talks for a role in the film. At this point, nobody is entirely sure who he will actually be playing but early indications suggest that he may be portraying himself.
Of course Sir Elton is no stranger to the cinematic world. After all, he did win an Oscar for his musical efforts on The Lion King and has since gone on to portray himself on The Simpsons amongst other projects. Most recently, he produced the 2011 animated film Gnomeo and Juliet whose success earned it an upcoming sequel Gnomeo & Juliet: Sherlock Gnomes.
Either way, it sounds as though the cast of Kingsman: The Golden Circle is about to get very exciting.
So far we know that the returning cast includes Taron Egerton as Eggsy, Mark Strong as Merline and Edward Holcroft as Charlie Hesketh. As well as this, new cast members include Julianne Moore as villain Poppy and Halle Berry as the head of the CIA. At the moment executives are remaining tight-lipped on the plot but what we do know is that the sequel we see some of our favourite stars more stateside.
As for Colin Firth – who knows if he’ll be back or not. All we know is that the poster revealed last week has left us wondering if a Harry Hart return is on the cards. Matthew Vaughn did joke about wanting to bring him back after all!
Kingsman 2 production is set to get underway very soon with it set to hit cinemas on June 16, 2017. We’re sure there’ll be plenty more news about the film between now and then so stay tuned to SquareEyed for all the latest!
