Charlie Hunnam in the running for the big-screen Oliver Queen/Green Arrow?

July 30th, 2019 by Marc Comments

Well, the old Charlie Hunnam is Oliver Queen/Green Arrow in the DCEU rumour is back.

Pacific Rim star Hunnam has long been the fan favourite to take the character – star of The CW’s hit Arrow series – to the big screen and now We Got This Covered are reporting he’s possibly finally getting the gig.

Sources  ‘confirmed that the Sons of Anarchy star is on Warner Bros.’ wishlist along with a few other actors. This doesn’t mean that he’s a lock for the role though, or that casting has even officially begun. Like we said, it’ll be some time before Green Arrow enters the DCEU, but the studio does already have a wishlist of talent that they’re considering and Charlie Hunnam is said to be on it’.

Honestly, it makes sense that Queen will be introduced soon as his comicbook wife Dinah Lance/Black Canary is set to make her appearance in next year’s Birds of Prey with actress Jurnee Smollett-Bell playing her – truth be told, I’d be surprised if Queen wasn’t at least referenced in the movie in some way.

All we know for sure is that at the end of this coming season Stephen Amell is no longer The CW’s Oliver Queen/Green Arrow, so the character is up for grabs…

What say you all? Is Hunnam your ideal choice? If not, who is the man for the gig? Let me know…

Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
