Chris Hemsworth on ‘Thor’ – not quite ready to give up the cape just yet!

October 6th, 2014 by Todd Black Comments

Hemsworth is not quite ready to pass the mantle just yet.

Whilst returning to his homeland Australia for a break, Chris Hemsworth chatted with Channel 7’s “The Morning Show”, and discussed his role as Thor in the Marvel films, and also discussed his future in the role.

More recently, other Marvel actors such as Robert Downey Jn and Chris Evans have spoke about departing from their superhero roles; however, Hemsworth isn’t quite ready to give up his cape and hammer:

“It’s three times I’ve played the character now; [which] has made me look at it in a different way. We just shot the Avengers [sequel] and finished a couple months ago. It’s exciting if not more than the first one was to see all those characters come back together.”

“I still got three more [movies] in my contract that I need to finish off, but I love playing the character. So, I’m not in any hurry to finish doing that. It’s nice to be able to fit different things in between [playing Thor.]”

The Avengers: Age of Ultron due out next summer will mark the fourth time Hemsworth has took up the role as Thor.
