Chris Pratt compares Jurassic World 3 to… Avengers: Endgame

February 20th, 2020 by Marc Comments

Some cool Jurassic World news today as star Chris Pratt has been bigging the upcoming third movie up on the Ellen DeGeneres Show.

Not only is he bigging it up, but he’s compared to to Avengers: Endgame for the scale and cast… big claim, right?

Here’s what the star said: “This feels like it. I’m not allowed to say anything… It’s got everybody. It’s got pretty much everybody in it. Maybe I just blew it, but I don’t care. All the cast from the original Jurassic Park is coming back. It’s going to feel very much like how [Avengers] Endgame brought everything together for Marvel.”

We already know that Sam Neill, Laura Dern and Jeff Goldblum will be reprising their iconic roles from the Jurassic Park series, but does this mean we’ll be seeing more familiar faces?

Honestly, as much as I enjoyed the first Jurassic World, I thought the second, Fallen Kingdom, was a hot mess, but this instalment has my attention for sure.

But this isn’t the only Jurassic World news as it seems a new TV series may be in development.

Now, we know that Netflix and Dreamworks are developing an animated Jurassic World series (here) but it looks like we’re also getting a live-action show too, reported to be set in Vancouver, Canada.

Writer and director Colin Trevorrow held a Q&A during a screening of Jurassic World movie and was asked about the possibility of a live-action series, to which he replied: “If the audience demands, we will provide.”

And that’s all we have… would you tune in every week for dinosaur-led action? It would be an easily-developed series given the stupid ending of Fallen Kingdom that, while it made no sense, could leave the door open for an exciting Walking Dead with dinosaurs adventure.

Let me know your thoughts.

Jurassic World 3 is set to hit theaters on June 11th, 2021.

Here’s the full interview on the Ellen DeGeneres show:

Marc is a self-confessed nerd. Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
