Interesting news from a guy on Reddit (we know, we know) who just attended a 40th anniversary screening of Superman: The Movie.
The screening was attended by actor Jack O’Halloran who played Non in the movie and apparently had an interesting bit of information for all you Christopher Reeve fans.
Here’s the post: “I just attended the 40th Anniversary screening of Superman: The Movie in Beverly Hills. Jack O’Halloran, who played the villain Non, was the guest of honor afterward. He told the audience that he is working with Warner Bros. on bringing back Christopher Reeve as a hologram in a future Superman movie. I thought it was extremely interesting given the recent Henry Cavill news. Just thought I’d share.”
Now, it’s not that crazy, given the 3D Ronald Reagan that was just revealed by the Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation:

So what could this mean?
Well, very likely nothing… DC/Warners are having difficulty giving the fans the Man of Steel sequel they’ve been crying out for, so retreading an older version of the character seems weird… and they sort of tried it with Superman Returns and we all know how that turned out.
But, what if it’s not exactly a new Superman movie? We know the Supergirl movie is in the works and allegedly set in the 1970s… could this be where Reeve will appear? Will that movie perhaps not be part of the current slate of DC movies?
Or, what if a crisis type even is planned for the DC movies? Might we see different versions of the characters appearing onscreen together? Remember a long time ago when movie Flash Ezra Miller seemed confident he and Grant Gustin’s TV Flash would meet? Well, maybe at some point in the future it could be planned to smash the universes together.
Or, maybe, Reeve will appear as someone who isn’t even Superman, just as a loving nod to the late actor?
Honestly, we doubt anything will come of this, but…
Thoughts?
