Colin Trevorrow back for third Jurassic World

April 7th, 2018 by Irwin Fletcher Comments

As we have previously reported on the site Jurassic World 3 has been set for release in 2021 and now it looks like that Colin Trevorrow, who directed the 2015 blockbuster Jurassic World, is returning to the director’s chair.

Stephen Spielberg who is the executive producer of the franchise since its launch in 1990 with Jurassic Park, confirmed the news to entertainment weekly: “Colin Trevorrow is going write and direct the third Jurassic World story,” according to executive producer Steven Spielberg.

“Trevorrow also co wrote the script of the up-coming Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom with Derek Connolly will next collaborate with Emily Carmichael for the third as yet untitled Jurassic World movie.”

As of the time of writing and without having seen the second Jurassic World movie we can assume that Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, BD Wong, Toby Jones, Rafe Spall, Justice Smith, Daniella Pineda, Ted Levine, Geraldine Chaplin, James Cromwell and Jeff Goldblum will all be returning for the third movie if their characters survive: in the case of Pratt and Howard this is almost a cert.
