OK Daniel, we get it, Bond is a tough gig… but seriously, hold it together. And show show maturity.

Sure, it could all be publicity for the movie, SPECTRE, which hits in a few weeks, but it truly feels like nothing more him being a spoilt child and, personally, it’s leaving a bad taste in my mouth.

Speaking to Time Out, the actor made his feelings clear on returning to the role and what the next guys should do. And it’s not pretty.

Asked about doing another Bond movie, Craig said: “I’d rather break this glass and slash my wrists. No, not at the moment. Not at all. That’s fine. I’m over it at the moment. We’re done. All I want to do is move on.”

Urged if he means for good, he replied: “I don’t know what the next step is. I’ve no idea. Not because I’m trying to be cagey. Who the f@#k knows? At the moment, we’ve done it. I’m not in discussion with anybody about anything. If I did another Bond movie, it would only be for the money.’

OK, so, he’s not keen on a fifth outing. What about the next Bond, any advice? “I don’t give a f@#k,” he replies.

“Good luck to them! All I care about is that if I stop doing these things we’ve left it in a good place and people pick it up and make it better. Make it better, that’s all.”

So any advice?

You won’t be backseat-driving then? “Don’t listen to anybody else,” he says, then changes his mind quickly, “Well, do listen to everybody, but you have to make the choice at the end of the day. It’s your bed to lie on. And don’t be s@#t! Don’t be s@#t. You’ve got to step up. People do not make movies like this any more. This is really rare now. So don’t be s@#t.”

Wow, well played Daniel. As a fan of Casino Royale and Skyfall, I have to say that, after that outburst, I hope you don’t come back.

SPECTRE opens on October 26th. We’re looking forward to it more than Craig.

Marc is a self-confessed nerd. Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
