WARNING!: This is only a rumor at said point, but based on things that’re happening in the comic movie world, we wouldn’t be surprised if this was true.
So, with the unbelievable success of one Guardians of the Galaxy, it’s not so far of a stretch to think that DC would want a movie based in space as well.
To the trained DC reader, that would (nine times out of ten) refer to a Green Lantern movie, as the majority of them are in space. However, there are other DC space properties out there that can be used. And if said rumor source is true, they’re sending copies of The Legion Of Superheroes to screenwriters to get their take on a possibly movie.
Interesting huh? The Legion of Superheroes is honestly a popular DC franchise. Having numerous comics, appearances in classic TV television like Superman: The Animated Series, and Justice League Unlimited, and even a cartoon of their own. In fact, the Legion was created all the way back in 1958.
The question now is, does Legion of Superheroes fill one of the still unknown slots in DC’s lineup of upcoming movies? It’s not known at this time. There’s only confirmation of Batman v. Superman, SHAZAM!, and Justice League so far. What lies inbetween is still anyone’s guess.
