Ok, we technically KNEW it was coming. It made way too much money at the box office to not get a sequel, BUT, we didn’t know who all would be returning. Which in the case of sequels can sometimes be the deciding factor between hit or flop.
IMDB reports though that not only is Ryan Reynolds coming back as the Merc with the Mouth, but also, director Tim Miller, and Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick handling script duties as they did for the first film.
This is welcome news, as it was this team (plus others) that helped make Deadpool such a record success. And with the promise of more laughs, hopefully a bigger budget (the originals got slashed multiple times) and CABLE!!!!…the sequel is already lined up to be even better than the first.
