Well, isn’t this just cool?

It seems that Ryan Reynolds and the Deadpool crew are filming scenes for the movie that are very familiar… because it may be the scene from the test footage everyone loved so much (You can see that here)!

The following image was posted earlier today and if you go BigCityGirl’s instagram you’ll see more of the same. We love this!

(More news after the image)

It’s days like this that I wish I had a better zoom lens! #deadpool #movieshoot #mustbevancouver

Deadpool creator Rob Liefeld has been talking about the movie and he reckons it can fill some pretty big shoes next year… and that, like Guardians of the Galaxy, it could challenge what we think when it comes to comic movies:

“I’m telling you with great conviction, and great anticipation for the satisfaction everyone is going to experience, that the Deadpool film is tremendous. It’s tremendous fun. It has everything. In the same manner that Robert Downey Jr. co-opted Tony Stark/Iron Man and now seems to “own” him in that way that you can’t imagine Iron Man without him, that’s what will happen with Ryan Reynolds and Deadpool.

“The Tony Stark I grew up with wasn’t as snappy and as quippy as Downey Jr. made him, but now I only think of his performance. That is what is going to happen here with Ryan and Deadpool. You can see it happening already. It’s a complete ownership of a role that we are all going to rally around. This Deadpool film will establish Deadpool on a global scale. In addition to being brilliantly raucous, crazy, violent, and action packed, the Deadpool film has tremendous heart and soul.

“Prepare for an experience that you haven’t encountered yet. It’s new template in the way that Guardians of the Galaxy established a new tone for the franchise. Deadpool will do the same.”

Has it got the potential? Well, if anyone can, it’s Deadpool…

Based upon Marvel Comics’ most unconventional anti-hero, DEADPOOL tells the origin story of former Special Forces operative turned mercenary Wade Wilson, who after being subjected to a rogue experiment that leaves him with accelerated healing powers, adopts the alter ego Deadpool. Armed with his new abilities and a dark, twisted sense of humor, Deadpool hunts down the man who nearly destroyed his life.

Deadpool arrives in style on February 12th, 2016.

Marc is a self-confessed nerd. Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
