Does new merchandise confirm Scream VII still set for next year?

January 27th, 2024 by Marc Comments

If there’s one thing we’re well used to in this corner of the internet, it’s merchandise spoiling movies, characters etc, but a new leak may have reassured us that, despite all the madness recently, Scream VII is still set for a 2025 release.

A new image, below, reveals a new stand for Funworld’s Ghostface masks – they own the rights to the mask and appearance of Ghostface – and the banner on the new stand reads ‘Ghostface returns… in Scream VII 2025’.

Melissa Barrera and Jenna Ortega gone from Scream VII but that’s just the start…

This comes on the back of news that after a disastrous few weeks where Paramount fired and lost their core actors and even the director, but was followed by news that star Melissa Barrera and Neve Campbell may have re-entered talks to return to the Scream franchise.

Now, I’m not really one to put too much stock into news like this, however, I am a massive fan of the Scream series, so I’m putting this out into the universe in the hope that it just might make it happen.

Thoughts? I know you have them! Voice-off in the usual ways on FTN’s FacebookTwitterInstagramYoutube, Bluesky,
TruthTumblrThreads & Mastodon!

What do you think? Is this confirming that Ghostface is returning next year – I am hearing rumours that a new director has been hired but not revealed yet – or is it just a stand to sell some cool mask?

I want to know what you all think…

Neve Campbell on for a Scream return? Melissa Barrera also back in talks?
