We have some awesome John Wick news for you guys!
Looks like Hong Kong martial art legend Donnie Yen has signed on to the upcoming John Wick: Chapter 4 as one of Wick’s (Keanu Reeves) oldest friends.
The actor, who was the best thing about Rogue One: A Star Wars story as Chirrut along with Jiang Wen’s Baze, will have the “same history and many of the same enemies” as Wick.
He will join Reeves (of course), returning star Ian McShane along with newcomer Rina Sawayama.
The movie will be directed by John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum’s Chad Stahelski, who said: “We are very lucky to have Donnie Yen join the franchise [and] I am looking forward to working with him in this exciting new role.”
There was talk that the fourth and fifth movies would film together but with that damned virus still out there, it’s hard to know if that will still happen.
Either way, more John Wick – and spin-off series The Continental (which sounds great) – is not something we’re likely to ever turn our noses up at. You?
John Wick 4 fires into theaters on May 27th, 2022.
