Fast 9 star Sung Kang believes the fans have the power to get Gal Gadot’s Gisele back from the dead in the franchsie

One of the most exciting things in the new Fast 9 was the return of actor Sung Kang as Han, the long thought dead character who seemingly died in the third movie then, again, in the sixth.

However, being the franchise it is, no-one is ever really dead and, true to form, after an online campaign, the star is back and once again he’s part of the family.

But, he’s not the last character we want to see return.

In Fast & Furious 6 star Gal Gadot played Gisele Yashar, Han’s love interest, who died when she fell off the wing of a plane speeding down the runway. While we never saw her death, it was established she did indeed die and, because of this, Han moved to Tokyo where we caught up with him in Fast & Furious: Tokyo Drift (and we all know how that played out).

However, now star Kang is saying that, if they wanted it enough, the fans have probably got the power to bring back Gisele.

Well, hey, anything is possible,” Kang said.

“If you guys start a hashtag ‘Bring back Gisele,’ it’s very possible.” although he also conceded that Wonder Woman star Gadot “is a little busy right now, she’s saving the world.”

With the franchise heading to its final two installments, we can’t help but feel they will be trying to bring back everyone from the franchise’s past – heck, Fast 9 has quite a few nods to previous movies.

While the idea of Gisele returning after being thrown from a moving plane sounds, well, mental, we should remember that the villain in Fast 6, Owen Shaw (played by Luke Evans), was thrown through a car windshield and out the back of the same plane and he’s been back after a stint in a coma… so let’s not rule out Gisele’s return just yet.

Marc is a self-confessed nerd. Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
