I’m still on something of a sugar high since Fast and Furious 6 so I get giddy every time I hear news about part seven because I hope it can keep up the momentum built by the last couple of movies…
And more news there is. It seems that, according to aintitcool, Universal is looking to cast another female MMA fighter after the success of Gina Carano in the last couple of movies. Apparently Ronda Rousey (above) is in talks to join Fast and Furious 7 after she finishes filming on The Expendables 3. The site is however reporting that “Unlike Carano though, Rousey is still an active fighter and has a fight scheduled for December 28th and needs 45 consecutive uninterrupted days to train for that championship fight so she will be working non-stop to meet that deadline.” Ouch.
Fast and Furious 7 is set for release on July 11 2014 even though it hasn’t started filming yet (!), which is a bit worrying, and will star Vin Diesel, Dwayne Johnson, Paul Walker, Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson and Jason Statham. It will be directed by James Wan.
