Final Fast & Furious gets title and release date

February 1st, 2026 by Marc Comments

The Fast & Furious franchise is set to come to an end on its 28th anniversary, with the final movie in the series finally given a title and release date.

Taking to social media, star Vin Diesel revealed that the next – final? –  movie will be called Fast Forever (seriously, Last & Furious was right there…) and will hit cinemas on March 17th, 2028.

So, a little over two years from now until the franchise draws to a close. Or at least the main series does, as there are still spinoffs in development. Probably.

“No one said the road would be easy,” Diesel wrote on socials, “but it’s ours. One that has defined us and become our legacy. And a legacy lasts forever.”

Diesel shared the news, accompanied by an image of himself as Dom along with the late Paul Walker as Brian O’Connor, and he has previously said the new movie would see O’Connor return to the franchise one last time.

The news is welcomed by fans as there was a period there where it looked like the last movie might not even happen, but, as bad as the last couple of instalments were, I really want the story to come to an actual end, rather than ending on a cliffhanger that suggested Diesel’s Dominic Toretto and his team were about to die.

Now, can we get an update on the next Riddick movie, please?

So, Fast Forever. Thoughts? I know you have them and I wanna hear ’em all!

Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
