FIRST LOOK at Teela from the Masters of the Universe movie reboot

January 22nd, 2018 by Marc Comments

With the news last week that the Masters of the Universe movie is finally moving forward (here) we have our first look at a major character… sort of.

The movie is set to be directed by Blade Trinity director David Goyer, who took to his Instagram (below) to share an image of him working along with concept artist Carlos Huante and wouldn’t you know it, he ‘accidentally’ shared a glimpse at Teela or, more precisely, Teela’s Battle Suit (according to the caption in the image, on the monitor).

In the old series Teela was the captain of Eternia’s Royal Guard and helped train Prince Adam AKA He-Man to be the hero he needed to be to fight Skeletor and his evil henchmen.

The image below show’s Teela in the armour (close-up) and how she looked in the original 80s TV series… bit of a difference but we don’t know the context yet:

We expect to hear and see more from the Masters of the Universe movie in the near future… Christmas 2019 isn’t really all that far away, after all.

Masters of the Universe opens December 18, 2019.

Marc is a self-confessed nerd. Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
