With Batman V Superman hitting this weekend and Flash and Supergirl crossing over, this is DC’s week… but still not down, they’ve given us our first look at the upcoming LEGO Batman Movie.

Actor Will Arnett stars as Batman and has been talking about playing the small, plastic version of the world’s greatest superhero and what his lair is like: “The Batcave is even better than we remembered it, it’s awesome.

“But I also love getting into the ho-hum day-to-day of being Batman and what it’s like to fight crime each day. Like the idea of Batman oversleeping his alarm clock makes me laugh. It really does humanize him.”

“Batman is an island onto himself, the only thing he doesn’t have is relationships,” says Director Chris McKay who was animation director on The LEGO Movie. “We’re making About a Boy as directed by (action director) Michael Mann.”

“We’re building an entire city, the Batcave and vehicles, going deep into Batman’s world,” he added.

We can’t wait to see Gotham realised in LEGO…

The movie all also feature The Joker (Zach Galifianakis), Alfred (Ralph Fiennes) Dick Grayson/Robin (Michael Cera) and Barbara Gordon/Batgirl(Rosario Dawson) and Gotham Mayor (Mariah Carey).

The Lego Batman Movieis due on February 10th, 2017.

Marc is a self-confessed nerd. Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
