Fresh from getting his arse handed to him by Captain America in a lift and having a helicopter crash into him, Brock Rumlow is gunning for a rematch.

Actor Frank Grillo recently talked about fan reaction to previews of his role in Captain America: Civil War, playing Rumlos’s alter-ego Crossbones and how he really feels the role is like his own secret identity. Which is kinda scary.

Despite rumours to the effect that Crossbones gets killed off early, all because Grillo recently completed his scenes, the actor recently tweeted: “To answer all those who think #Crossbones is done……. Don’t get caught [with] your guard down – #MayhemNeverDone #x”

Apparently people loved the costume: “It’s funny because people really responded to it – it went viral, trended, so I’ve been getting phone calls.”

Regarding the character itself, Grillo has said (tongue-in-cheek – we hope): “Crossbones is a violent, violent villain in these series. And I finally feel I’ve been understood now. I feel complete; [people] get me.”

Either way, I think we’d better be nice to him. Just to be on the safe side.

Dave was born at an early age to parents of both sexes. He has been a self-confessed geek for as long as he can remember, having been raised through the 80s on a steady diet of Doctor Who, Star Trek, Red Dwarf and (sigh) Knight Rider. Throw the usual assortment of Saturday morning cartoons into the mix and we have something quite exceptional: someone with an encyclopaedic knowledge of utter tosh; a love of giant robots and spaceships fighting; and the strange desire to leap tall buildings in a single bound while wearing his underpants over his trousers. The death ray is currently in the works and one day you shall all bow to him, his giant space station and fleet of funky orange space shuttles...
