You’d think that everyone would be excited for Daredevil and Batman V Superman, but it seems not…

Legendary comic writer Frank Miller is giving both movie and TV series a pass because of his involvement with both characters, he told THR: “I didn’t make up Batman, I didn’t make up Daredevil, I have no right to be possessive, but once I’ve worked on a character, it’s hard to see any other way than my way. By and large, most of what they do, I’ll just get grouchy if I see it. So I tend not to look at it, except for few exceptions.”

Many people are saying that Miller is being snobby, but we don’t think it’s that a t all; in fact, we can totally see why Miller is saying what he’s saying. Interestingly though, he DID create Elektra: “I don’t know if they quite know I exist. Let’s see if they credit me for creating Elektra.”

Defending his outlook, Miller adds: “I’m not running for president. I don’t want to be one of those cranky old guys grinding an ax, wishing I got paid better. I’ve done my best to pave the way for artists in the future to be treated better than I have. And that’s all I can do. Beyond that, I’d be pissing and moaning about things I have no control over. I’ve signed every contract that I’ve signed and agreed to the working conditions that I’ve worked in. And I’m not going to whine about this. I make a good living.”

Miller left a big mark on Batman and Daredevil’s mythology and we love him for it and we applaud his attitude here.

Marc is a self-confessed nerd. Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
