Despite production problems, Fox’s ‘Gambit’ film is still on course to start filming.
The Gambit film, starring Channing Tatum as Gambit, will now start filming in March, a delay of nearly 4 months. The delay happened when director Rupert Wyatt dropped out of the project back in September. The initial plan was for filming to begin in November to have an October 2016 release date. Fox producer Simon Kinberg recently confirmed the release date will be pushed back to 2017.
It’s expected to begin filming this March.
Doug Liman (Edge of Tomorrow, The Born Identity) is expected to replace Wyatt as director.
At the Golden Globe awards on Sunday, Tatum arrived with a haircut that baffled most fashion experts, although X-men fans would recognise it as Gambits hair any day – see below.
