UPDATED AGAIN! WITH OFFICIAL BEAUTIFUL PIC: Get a good look at the Batmobile during filming on Batman V Superman

September 17th, 2014 by Marc Comments

Well, here it is, in action – well, sort off – on the set of Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice and it looks soooooooooooo badass.

The guys at Batman News have published pictures of  Batman’s main mode of transport from Friday’s filming at the Russell Industrial Center in Detroit and it looks mean as hell and it looks like it’s covered in some serious dust… the sort of dust that might come from demolished buildings, perhaps?

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice was written by Chris Terrio, from a screenplay by David S. Goyer. Zack Snyder is directing.

The cast includes Man of Steel’s Henry Cavill reprising his role as Superman in the film, Ben Affleck is Bruce Wayne/Batman, Gal Gadot is Diana Prince/Wonder Woman, Jesse Eisenberg is Lex Luthor, Jeremy Irons is Alfred Pennyworth and Ray Fisher is Victor Stone/Cyborg. Amy Adams, Laurence Fishburne and Diane Lane will also reprise their roles in the sequel. Holly Hunter, Callan Mulvey, Tao Okamoto and Scoot McNairy have unknown roles. Jason Momoa is all but confirmed as Aquaman and rumored to appear.

It is scheduled to hit theaters in the US on March 25th, 2016. It’s not yet known if the April 29th date in UK still stands.

UPDATED: Zack Snyder, clearly miffed at the low-res images of Batman’s beautiful car, has released the below image and, oh my, it’s a beautiful, sexy beasy of a machine. Bart Buton, part Nolan, all rage.

Snyder just wrote: “Here’s a real picture of the Batmobile,”

Marc is a self-confessed nerd. Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
