Green Arrow set for the DC big screen universe?

June 3rd, 2019 by Marc Comments

With Arrow coming to an end next season when Oliver Queen AKA The Green Arrow enters the fray of the Crisis on Infinite Earths crossover, it seems the character may be reborn – in a way – on the big screen.

A new rumour suggests that the DCEU is getting ready to bring Green Arrow into the big leagues with the likes of Batman, Superman, Aquaman and Wonder Woman.

However, as expected, it will not be TV’s Stephen Amell in the role.

The character, however, will not be appearing in his own big movie but rather is likely to appear in the Black Canary movie which will be a spin-off from the recently finished filming Birds of Prey movie and will star Jurnee Smollett-Bell in the titular role.

Given Oliver Queen/Green Arrow’s connection to Canary over the years in the comics and, to a less extent, in the TV series, introducing him in this movie would be a clever way to integrate him into he ever-growing world of the DCEU which, thanks to the financial and critical success of Aquaman and Shazam! in the last 12 months, is looking like it is gathering more and more steam

Personally, as much as I love The CW’s DC TV universe, I would very much love to see the Arrow appear in the big screen universe too.

I’ll keep you posted as and when I hear more. consider this just a rumour, but Oliver Queen may be heading to the DCEU in the next few years.

I want to hear your thoughts, friends.
