There have been rumors about whether Clint Barton, aka Hawkeye would be in Civil War, with Jeremy Runner himself adding to them by saying “there were whispers” that he might. Now, we can confirm the archer will be in the movie.
This is fourth official Avenger to join Civil War, with Iron Man, Black Widow, and of course Captain America already confirmed for the picture.
A question has arisen though about where Hawkeye will side in this struggle. In the comics, Hawkeye wasn’t a part of the Civil War storyline, however, he did openly oppose Tony Stark in the aftermath. So many believe he’ll side with Captain when the time to choose sides arises.
The movie will also mark the debut of Crossbones and Black Panther, played by Frank Grillo and Chadwick Boseman. Oh, and possibly Spider-Man.
