It seems the Masters of the Universe movie is finally gathering momentum!
Word on the nerdvine is that Men in Black: International writers Art Marcum and Matt Holloway are set to write and Band of Robbers brothers Adam and Aaron Nee are still directing.
The movie is, of course, based on the 80s famous aniamted series and toyline form Mattel, He-Man and the Master of the Universe.
It’s a franchise that has been fighting to get off the ground for a number of years with directors including Charlie’s Angels’ McG attached to direct.
Of course He-Man and the gang were brought to the big screen in 1987 by Dolph Lundgren while Skeletor, the most evel, em, skeleton in the universe, was played by Frank Langella.
And that’s all we have. But we’ll say this: If there’s one franchise that could give us a perfect blend of swords, sorcery and fun in the age of Game of Thrones and the MCU, it’s He-Man…
