Man, Kurt Russell looks badass as Ego The Living Planet in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2.

A new image of Russell has appeared on what looks like a piece of packaging art work from the upcoming sequel.

We had our first idea of how he’d look last week when this image of his action figure appeared:

However now the new art work gives us a much better idea:

In addition to this, we reckon Yondu actor Michael Rooker may just have revealed that he is set for Avengers: Infinity War (which makes sense as we already know a lot of the Guardians cast are set for is) while getting himself a Starbucks coffee and it also looks like he may just have revealed the new logo for the third Avengers outing:

Having a great morning so far at my lovely local Starbucks in Peachtree city Georgia…..ShitYes!!!

And finally, it looks like Rob Zombie has a voice role in the sequel too… yeah, we’re surprised too. Anyway, here’s the proof:

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, directed by James Gunn, will hit theaters May 5, 2017 and will feature Star-Lord (Chris Pratt), Gamora (Zoe Saldana), Drax (Dave Bautista), Rocket (Bradley Cooper) and Baby Groot (Vin Diesel) as well as Ego (Kurt Russell).

Marc is a self-confessed nerd. Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
