It looks like, in the now time-honoured fashion, the villain of a major movie has been revealed… by a toy line.
The new Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2 toy line in the tweet below features Ayesha and, after an image was tweeted to director James Gunn, he confirmed it is Ayesha, which has everyone guessing this is out first look at the movie’s villain, albeit as a distorted looking figure.
And, given here appearance in the comics (above) we can certainly see the similarities.
Who is she? Well, according to The Marvel Wiki: “Kismet, also known as Paragon, Her, and Ayesha, is a fictional superheroine appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. She exists in Marvel’s main shared universe, known as the Marvel Universe. Ayesha will appear in the film Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, portrayed by Elizabeth Debicki.”
She is similar in abilities to Adam Warlock, the character who in the comics, stops Thanos in the Infinity Gauntlet story arc. Is this all being set up? Well, we reckon it’s not entirely impossible…
