We were all excited because we thought Hugh Jackman was playing Homer Simpson. Not so, however.
The actor, best known as Wolverine, is currently in negotiations to star in Lionsgate’s movie version of Homer’s The Odyssey.
It seems the movie, as announced in April, will be directed by Hunger Games director Francis Lawrence and will be a possible franchise..
“The Odyssey” is believed to have been composed by Homer in the 8th century B.C. It centers on Odysseus and his journey home after the fall of Troy while his wife Penelope fights off suitors.
No release date for this one yet, but it could be the very definition of ‘epic’
