Is Stranger Things star David Harbour set to play Cable in Deadpool 2?

March 2nd, 2017 by Marc Comments

We know by this point that mutant Nathan Summers AKA Cable is set to appear in Deadpool 2 – look Deadpool wasn’t exactly subtle about it – and it seems like there’s been a plethora of potential actors attached to the role.

From the obvious choice of Stephen Lang to the other solid choices of Liam Neeson and Pierce Brosnan, there’s a lot of names attached that we can see in the role (that’s him above fighting Deadpool in the comics) but it looks like we have a new contender for the role and we love the actor… but can’t visualise him as Cable.

Yes, Stranger Things and Suicide Squad star David Harbour (below) is apparently now attached for the part.

Word on the street is that Harbour is FOX’s current choice for the role.

Does this mean we’ll see him as the son of X-Men leader Cyclops? Not necessarily, but it does make sense to go with a younger actor if they foresee him starring as the time-travelling mutant in an X-Force movie and maybe beyond.

What do you all think? Can you see Harbour in the role?
