Remember the story yesterday that Zac Efron is in line for a Marvel movie? Cool… keep it at the back of you mind for a sec or two
Latino Review are reporting that Universal Pictures have reserved Friday, November 4th, 2016 for a secret movie with Legendary Pictures, they say it “is new and not a sequel or remake, though it may be based on underlying intellectual property.”
They speculate that it could be a Namor: The Sub Mariner movie as the studio has yet to delve into superhero movies really and they have the rights to the Marvel character as confirmed by Kevin Feige last summer when Empire Magazine interviewed him
They add: “Warners officially got Justice League on the horizon and from what I hear, AQUAMAN will be an integral part of that story. The rumored Justice League movie release date is tentatively May 5, 2017. Could Universal and Marvel put a serious dent in Warner’s plans by getting a head start and dropping their version of their fish man first by six months? After all, Aquaman is a rip off of Namor who debuted first in Marvel Comics #1 back in October of 1939. Aquaman wouldn’t make his official debut until two years later in 1941. Could history be repeating itself?”
They go on… “could yesterday’s Zac Efron Marvel story be tied in to Namor? He is starring in Universal’s big number one hit at the moment, he has heat on him, he is being considered for a Marvel project, and he is certainly jacked enough to play the first known comicbook antihero.”
File under SERIOUS rumours and speculation… and have fun with the idea. We are…
