With rumours floating around that Batman, while not being part of the movie really, will have a presence in The Suicide Squad, we’re now hearing more specific ideas about what exactly it might be…
Latino Review’s El Mayimbe has been sharing some bits on Instagram, and we love what we’re hearing and really hope it’s true:
“According to sources, in the film Batman is some sort of big boogeyman that the government REALLY hates. Get this, prior to the events in #BatmanvSuperman, THE JOKER is the only one to really ever meet him or know him and that’s why he’s so important to Amanda Waller. They have footage of Batman in action which they watch. There is a bit of dialogue where they say Batman is the key to tracking down all “the supers.”
This is great for a few reasons, firstly, it establishes the Joker and Batman have history. It confirms that, in this movie, Batman is a myth, a ghost feared by criminals. And it establishes that he is not to be messed with and Waller herself knows he’s dangerous as hell.
The more we hear, the more we love…
Suicide Squad stars Will Smith as Deadshot, Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn, Joel Kinnaman as Rick Flag, Jared Leto as The Joker, Jai Courtney as Boomerang, Cara Delevingne as Enchantress and Viola Davis as Amanda Waller. It arrives in theatres August 5th, 2016
