It really looks like Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool is set for Doctor Strange sequel… and he’s not alone

So, while we all poured over the Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness trailer, it seems that the poster too – as seen here – has some treasures to show us.

In the poster, we see Doctor Strange smashing through a massive mirror of reality, a mirror that is splintering and in those splinters we see a lot of familiar and obvious faces but if we look really closely, we’ll see some not-so-obvious faces.

Like, well, Deadpool.

Yes, eagle-eyed fans have spotted the Merc with the Mouth hiding at the top of the poster – check out our graphic below to see for yourself:

It’s hard to deny that, once you see Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool in there, it’s hard to unsee.

Adding to the mystery, Reynolds posted an image of himself in the Deadpool suit on social media a few days back before quickly removing it… but the internet never forgets. Here’s the image:

Reportedly, the lady behind him is the costume designer for the Doctor Strange sequel… Oh, and one more fun little thing, Rob Liefeld, Deadpool’s creator, was asked about him appearing in the poster and his response, while cryptic, had a little emojii that seems to be saying ‘I’m saying nothing’:

So is he in the movie? Well, it seems that we have Professor X returning from the Fox X-Men movies (here) which certainly opens the door to Reynolds’ Deadpool as he’s from that corner of the Multiverse.

And with rumours being that Anson Mount, left, is returning from the short-lived Inhumans series and is appearing as a varient Black Bolt in the movie (here) along with rumours that Toby Maguire, quite taken with his recent return as Spider-man/Peter Parker in Spider-man: No Way Home, has signed on to appear too (here), it seems that Multiverse of Madness could be a massive undertaking and could truly blow open the whole MCU and how they relate to previous Marvel movies and shows.

Whatever happens and whoever appears, this is going to be a Marvel movie unlike any other.
