James Cameron may be looking to bring Neil Blomkamp’s Alien movie back to life…

February 11th, 2019 by Marc Comments

It looks like James Camero may not be content just bringing back Terminator but he may also be looking at bringing back another franchise that made him the star he is… Aliens.

You will recall a while back the  District 13 writer/director Neil Blomkamp was hoping to make a new entry in the Alien franchise that would essentially ignore the movies after Aliens and bring back Sigourney Weaver and Michael Biehn (above) to fight the terrifying Xenomorph once once more.

However, Alien director Ridley Scott was still making his Alien univeree wider with Covenant and Prometheus and ultimately pulled the plug.

But it seems all hope may not be lost. Yet.

In a recent interview for his new  movie alita: Battle Angel which he wrote, Cameron was asked if perhaps he an Blomkamp could be talked into combining their efforts and getting back into the Alien universe, to which Cameron replies:  “I’m working on that.”

Now this is not much to go on… but it seems Mr Cameron is intent on revisiting some of his greatest hits.

And his greatest hits were very, very great, indeed.

Thoughts?

Marc is a self-confessed nerd. Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
