Taron Egerton is back for the sequel reprising his role as Gary ‘Eggsy’ Unwin alongside new cast Julianne Moore and Halle Berry.
Game of Thrones star Pedro Pascal has also been cast as Jack Daniels. It’s also rumoured that Colin Firth will return as Harry Hart.
In terms of the plot, film executives continue to remain pretty tight-lipped on the situation however, director Matthew Vaughn caught up with Empire Magazine and gave them a bit of a heads up: “I didn’t know if I wanted to direct this or not. I was worried about the villain. Spy films are only as good as their villains. Then one morning I woke up with the whole storyline in place, and a new villain plot.”
It sounds like it’s all coming together nicely then! After the success of its predecessor, we’ll be hoping that Kingsman: The Golden Circle delivers.
The film is due to start production later in the year with the film being released in cinemas on June 10, 2017.
