Jerry Bruckheimer Talks Bad Boys 3, Pirates of the Caribbean 5 and National Treasure 3

July 5th, 2014 by Marc Comments

Jerry Bruckheimer is talking sequels… yes, he’s got his eye on new Bad Boys, Pirates of the Carbbean and even, yes really, National Treasure

Collider talked to the famour producer about the future of his franchises and he had a few details to share; asked if the next Pirates of the Caribbean will feature zombies, giant Krakens, monsters or supernatural shenannigans, he said: “No, no. I think we’re back to more of a straight pirates movie this time.”

What of the much rumoured Bad Boys III? : “Well, we’re working on an outline right now. Hopefully we’ll get a screenplay in the next three months. And that will become a movie, I hope.”

Asked about the National Treasure movies, he confirmed it’s still alive and well: “Yeah, we’re working on another National Treasure. We just had a meeting on Friday with the writers and the director, so hopefully that will come together.

“New writers, same director; John Turteltaub,” he added

So there you have it, some might argue these are three movies that don’t need to be made, but what are your thoughts?

Marc is a self-confessed nerd. Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
