So you may recall a few weeks ago Frozen and Beauty and the Beast star Josh Gad seemed to hint that he may be connected to the role of The Penguin/Oswald Cobblepot in an unknown DC Cinematic entry (here).
Then, the actor denied there was anything to it other than a bit of fun and there was nothing happening (here).
Well, now he’s at it again on Twitter with an image of himself with DC Films co-head and President/CCO of DC Entertainment Geoff Johns. Oh, and he’s holding an issue of The Batman Adventures featuring, you guessed it, Penguin!
Now, we know there’s nothing official here and that it could be more shenanigans from Gad but we reckon there’s something going on and, with Ben Affleck’s solo Batman movie set to begin filming soon and the rumour being it’ll feature many of the Batman’s Rogues Gallery, it might only be a matter of time before we see the actor officially announced somewhere in the cast.
Or maybe not.. who knows?
But we’re getting used to the idea of him in the role.
