DON’T READ THIS IF YOU HAVEN”T SEEN THE MOVIE, FOLKS… SPOILERS

At a recent Q&A with Marvel movie chief Kevin Feige at the University of Southern California, the topic of Quicksilver’s demise came up and Feige was quick to quash any hopes of an Agent Coulson-type return.

Feige was quite clear: “Quicksilver is DEAD. One hundred percent, he’s not coming back any time soon, there are no plans. No LMD [life model decoy], no escaping bullets, no retcon.”

Feige was quick to add that there is no possible get-out-of-jail-free card on the horizon and that Quicksilver’s death was on the cards – along with much of Age of Ultron – since the first Avengers was filmed and there was never a plan to do otherwise (which is odd because Aaron Taylor-Johnson who plays Quicksilver said there was a cool costume created for him if he didn’t die in the movie (here)).

What do you think? Is he gone or could he come back? Let us know…

Marc is a self-confessed nerd. Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
