Two of the best things about the classic Star Wars movies? Easy. Lando and Boba Fett.
Well, relax… because according to the high-ups at Lucasfilm, both are on the Star Wars to-do list…
The Force Awakens co-writer Lawrence Kasdan recently spoke with Vanity Fair and confirmed that, while Lando isn’t in it, he is in the plans: “Right now, there’s no Lando Calrissian in this movie. But Lando I don’t think is finished in any way, shape, or form.”
While many of us were holding on to the hope that Lando would be Episode VII, it looks like he really isn’t but, since he appeared mid-trilogy originally, we’re ok with that happening again this time around. And we also know he’ll be back in Rebels and that’s awesome too. Just as long as that’s not all Kasdan is talking about…
Anyway, what about Boba? Well, Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy had been talking about the much rumoured for a new movie character: “Don’t worry: Boba Fett is a high priority among our list, please wait. But seeing how the Ewoks could return is a little harder to imagine. It is quite difficult to give the many stars of Star Wars their own stories on film.”
While we have suspected this was the case with both characters, it’s nice to hear it from the horse’s mouth…
