Well we all know that Jason Momoa is the DC Cinematic Universe’s Aquaman by now.

But now it seems that we may know who the bad guy is in the Aquaman movie too.
Care to guess who it will be?
You were probably right… it look alike it will indeed be Black Manta and, depending on the origin they go with, there may even be a lin to Suicide Squad.
The Wrap reports: “Black Manta has had several distinct origin stories over the years. In the latest version, Aquaman killed his father in retaliation for a murder committed by the young Black Manta. So begins BlackManta’s quest for revenge.
“The character has spent some time in Belle Reve prison, during which Amanda Waller tried to get him to join Suicide Squad. Interestingly, fans floated a now-disproven rumor last year that Common would play Black Manta in Suicide Squad.”
While the report is that the character, introduced waaaaaaay back in 1967 will be the big bad – and it’s very awesome that he will be a part of the DCCU – there’s no word on who will play him yet.
But we’re certainly excited to see where it goes from here…
Aquaman is set for release on July 27th, 2018.
