A now-deleted tweet from the official Marvel India page has seemingly revealed the release date for the highly anticipated MCU Blade reboot.
The tweet, which was quickly deleted – but we have screengrabbed below – revealed that the new movie starring Mahershala Ali in the role previously ruled by Wesley Snipes, will arrive in October 2022.
It also pegged Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness on March 25th, 2022, and The Marvels on November 11th, 2022.
The release dates for all the projects in the calendar correspond to the dates that have already been confirmed by Disney and Marvel. So, it’s curious to notice that Blade is part of the calendar and that it’s supposedly coming to theaters on October 7, 2022.
We previously learned that Marvel has 15 movies planned between now and 2024 (here) and it seems that, yes, as suspected, Blade is now one of those ‘TBC’ dates.
This is much sooner than we honestly expected the movie to arrive but it’ll certainly be a lot of fun to see the Daywalker and vampires introduced into the MCU.
Director Bassam Tariq will be bringing the character into the MCU.
