Has Mad Max made Marvel look closely at Charlize Theron for the role of Captain Marvel?
Well, maybe…
Rumours are suggesting that after Unbroken, Theron and director Angeline Jolie (the current favourite to direct Captain Marvel) have become good friends and while Marvel are after Jolie for the gig, the addition of Theron would almost definitely bring Jolie on board.
According to Comicbook: “Marvel has been courting Angie to direct the project and Charlize is a clear fan favourite for the starring role… If Charlize were to get the part, Angie would almost certainly sign on to work with her.”
Apparently Theron’s performance in Mad Max: Fury Road as Furiosa has been getting her noticed in all sorts of places (deservedly so, she kicked ass) and Marvel is one of them.
So what do you all think? Would Theron be a suitable Carol Danvers AKA Captain America? Let us know…
Captain Marvel is scheduled to open in theaters November 2, 2018.
