2020 is a rather quiet year for Marvel with only a handful of things going on and most of their work only just now going into production or being written, and stuff like the Black Widow movie being its own thing and will most likely only be used for introducing the next Black Widow, so you better hope that the Eternals are up to the job of keeping people’s interest in Marvel’s future this year.
In saying this, Marvel have created a new synopsis for the movie which will be straying a little from the path of Neil Gaiman’s 2008 limited series.
“Marvels The Eternals features an exciting new team of Super Heroes in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, ancient aliens who have been living on Earth in secret for thousands of years. Following the events of Avengers: Endgame, an unexpected tragedy forces them out of the shadows to reunite against mankind’s most ancient enemy, The Deviants.”
So we know the heroes, we know the villains, but what’s the bigger picture? Will this lead into any bigger villains coming in? or is it simply just a way of introducing the characters and will the next big Thanos style villain be held off for a later movie?
These and so many more questions are yet to be answered but I’m sure more news will come to light before the official release in November. So stay tuned for more news folks and stay nerdy.
