I aways loved playing the superhero vs superhero game with my nerd friends.
Who would win in a fight between Superman and Iron Man? One hour of arguing later: well, if Iron Man made a Kryptonite suit then yes. There’s also the classic Hulk vs ??? or Wolverine vs ???.
But there is always one that seemed to get people in a massive argument regardless of who they thought. That one superhero is of course Batman.
Here’s one for you then: who would win in a fight between Batman and Jason Bourne? It’s not a question many would ask. It’s also not wrong to say most people would say Batman because, well, he’s Batman.
That’s why it’s so very controversial when someone says Jason Bourne would win. Matt Damon is that controversial someone.
Recentley the actor was asked who he thought woould win in a punch-up and Damon answered by saying that: “Jason Bourne would kick the s–t out of Batman—absolutely!”
He did give Batman some credit though:”If he could beat [Superman] then maybe he could take on Jason Bourne.”
Careful now Damon, you’re treading on dangerous ground here. By the way, we reckon this is his way of having a jibe at Ben Affleck…
So let’s get to the basics, I don’t have enough pages to do the real argument. One is an ex-Black ops assassin with an unnaturally good skill at parkour and brilliant use with a gun. The other is a genius, billionaire, playboy, philanthropist (seems Iron Man has some explaining to do), trained in martial arts such as, jujitsu, judo, taekwondo etc. Not only that, but he has incredible gadgets that enable him to track people, wear bullet or stab proof armour, enhance his physical strength, glide like a bat, bring fear to the hearts of his enemies and can find out anything about anyone with ease. He also has a trusted butler who is an ex secret agent.
In terms of actually out top trumping Jason Bourne, Batman has it easily. Now, naturally anything could happen but there is one thing Matt Damon needs to realise; Batman always wins and when he doesn’t, he rarely loses a second time.
I admit there is a sense of bias here but if you actually think about it in this situation, I do believe Batman would kick the s–t out of Bourne—absolutely!
