Mel Gibson may be set to direct Suicide Squad sequel…

February 15th, 2017 by Marc Comments

Now THIS would be an interesting choice, indeed!

We’ve known for a while now that Suicide Squad writer/director David Ayer was working on a script for the sequel (as well as directing Gotham City Sirens) and now we have the first names attached to direct.

Mel Gibson is reportedly in talks – though nothing even almost concrete yet – to direct and is currently doing research for the gig (we presume this means reading comics).

Now, given the actor/director’s return recently with Blood Father and Hacksaw Ridge (both superb), we reckon he could be a great choice for the movie, especially since it will need to deliver after the lukewarm reception the first movie got with many people, despite delivering big at the box office.

Safe House director Daniel Espinosa is apparently also in the studio’s sights as they are hoping to move into production very soon.

So, what say you all? Gibson joining the DC Cinematic Universe behind the lens? Would that work for you? It works for us…
