It’s not that long ago we reported (here) that Joe Carnaghan would be writing the script for the Nathan Lane movie and at the time it was announced that, while many hoped he’d also direct it, the Narc and The Grey director would instead be looking after the third Bad Boys movie.
And now we have a director for the movie in the shape of Night At The Museum, Real Steel and Stranger Things’ Shawn Levy.
I have to be honest, I thought initially that Levy wouldn’t be an ideal choice but then I remembered that he also worked on Stranger Things and was a bit more confident about the choice.
What do you all think? Is he the man for the gig? Let us know…
Based on the action-adventure video game Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune from Naughty Dog and Sony Interactive, the story follows a descendant of explorer Sir Francis Drake, a treasure hunter named Nate Drake who believes he has learned the whereabouts of El Dorado, the fabled South American golden city, from a cursed golden statue. The search becomes competitive when a rival hunter joins the fray, then is escalated when creatures — actually mutated descendants of Spaniards and Nazis — begin attacking those hoping to learn the treasure’s true secrets.
