New Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice images tease… Darkseid? UPDATED Hi-res images added

Wow. This is huge. New still images for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice from Empire Magazine appear to show the symbol for Darkseid. As you can see in the image below (courtesy of Heroic Hollywood via Squareeyed), it shows a figure, believed to be Ben Affleck’s Batman, standing in a field bearing Darkseid’s symbol.

Hopefully we will have some confirmation soon but it does seem to bear too striking a resemblance for it not to be Darkseid. It appears to be a dream sequence, possibly towards the end of the film and therefore setting up Justice League Part One. It looks like Zack Snyder couldn’t help himself. Lex Luthor and Doomsday weren’t enough, he had to go and include Darkseid as well.

For DC fans, this is potentially massive news. Check out some more lo-res images from Empire below and a brand new trailer from Turkish Airlines (no they haven’t started their own production company, they are the official partner of the movie).
