New posters for Monster Hunter movie revealed

February 29th, 2020 by Geralt of Australia Comments

Monster Hunter, the critically acclaimed game series, is finally coming to the big screen with some big stars to boot.

New posters of stars Tony Jaa and Milla Jovovich rocking some over-sized weapons, the great hunters bow and a giant jawblade.

From what we can see here it looks like the movie could be based on the latest and biggest game in the series, Monster Hunter Worlds with the backdrop looking like the Wildspire Waste area, one of the early parts of the game.

With big name director Paul WS Anderson (Mortal Kombat and Resident Evil) I’m sure we can expect exciting things.

Like almost all video game movies though, there will be some slight changes, from what we’ve been told so far Artemis (Jovovich) and her group of elites have traveled to a far off world inhabited by monsters and are seeking the help of The Hunter (Jaa) in order to survive in the vicious and unforgiving new world.

With a release date of September 3rd this year, you can be sure we’ll be bringing you all the news as it comes; until then, get your armour ready and your weapons sharp for one of the biggest video game movies to hit the big screen. Stay nerdy folks.

Behind our world, there is another: a world of dangerous and powerful monsters that rule their domain with deadly ferocity. When Lt. Artemis (Milla Jovovich) and her elite unit are transported through a portal from our world to a new world, they are in for the shock of their lives. In her desperate attempt to get home, the brave lieutenant encounters a mysterious hunter (Tony Jaa), whose unique skills have allowed him to survive in this hostile land. Faced with relentless and terrifying attacks from the monsters, the warriors team up to fight back and find a way home.

Based on the global video game series phenomenon MONSTER HUNTER.

Cast: Milla Jovovich, Tony Jaa, Tip ‘T.I.’ Harris, Meagan Good, Diego Boneta, Josh Helman, Jin Au-Yeung and Ron Perlman
