Despite Dorothy Gale being the main character of the first of Frank L Baum’s original OZ books, it seems like her character is not set to return to our screens anytime soon.
OZ: The Great And Powerful producer Joe Roth has said there is plenty of material for the sequel but since it’s another 20 years in the land of OZ before Dorothy Gale blows in, ” A lot can happen in that time.”
He tells Darkhorizons that Dorothy, originally played by Judy Garland in the original 1939 movie, will “absolutely not” be in the sequel, although we’d imagine if this is set to be a mega franchise she will appear again sooner or later.
Hmmmmmmm wonder if Return To OZ is still canon?
