For some movie production companies, the desire to make big franchises tops everything else (see: making original content). For Lionsgate, that apparently means already planning a third movie to their Now You See Me franchise, one that hasn’t even released it’s second movie yet.
“We’ve already begun early planning for ‘Now You See Me 3,’” said Lionsgate CEO Jon Feltheimer
Now you may think this a risky move, and it is, given that the second movie has released yet. But, if it IS successful (which the first one was if you recall), Lionsgate will be ready right out of the gate to make the third film.
