Ok, cast your minds back a long, LONG time ago…to 2007, anyway, it was after Superman Returns came to theaters, and work on what would be Batman Begins had begun, in the middle of that was an effort to make the first ever live-action Justice League film, directed by George Miller.
Needless to say, this didn’t happen, for numerous reasons that were entirely unrelated at points. First, there was the Writers Guild Strike, an event so powerful (I am not joking when I say that, it was a powerful movement) that several movies, shows, and other media were affected in many ways. Revenge of the Fallen? That happened in that way because of the strike, there you go.
Anyway, between the strike certain fan uncertainty and more, the movie got cancelled in a hurry. But now, all these years later, we have the first ever photo of the cast that would’ve been in Justice League: Mortal:
Don’t know who all these people are? I understand, here’s the breakdown.
“From the bottom- director George Miller, Jay Baruchel (Maxwell Lord), Hugh Keays-Byrne (Martian Manhunter). Next row- Santiago Cabrera (Aquaman), Adam Brody (The Flash), Teresa Palmer (Talia al Ghul), stuntman Greg Van Borssum, and producer Barrie Osborne(Lord of the Rings). Armie Hammer (Batman) is at the very back and D.J. Cotrona (Superman) directly in front of him.”
I don’t know about you, but I like the cast DC has now vs. then, but that’s just me. What do you think?
