Paramount are bringing the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles back to the big screen in a likely full reboot

June 21st, 2018 by Marc Comments

So, Paramount along with Michael Bay, Andrew Form and Brad Fuller’s Platinum Dunes banner is making a new… Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie.

And it will be written by Andrew Dodge, the guy who penned Jason Batman’s Bad Words.

But here’s the thing… it looks like another reboot.

Probably.

In all honestly, we were hoping for a sequel to Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: Out of the Shadows (I loved it, i make no excuses (here’s my review if you’re interested)) because that movie, while not a hit with the critics, was on track to properly capture the crazy cartoon series we all fell in love with.

But, word on the street is that new Paramount chairman Jim Gianopulos is looking to clean up shop and produce quality, better controlled franchises and he’s starting with the TMNT… so we’re guessing full reboot.

But, hey, we’re actually ok with it, it seems the Turtle get re-imagined annually these days on big or small screen, so why not again? If it’s good, we’ll not be complaining.

Let us know your thoughts, folks.
